Dr Anna Łakowicz-Dopiera is a Senior Lecturer in the English Department of Szczecin University. She is currently totally devoted to popularizing aspects of American literature, culture and history among our students. She is also involved in lecturing to the audiences outside the University and has recorded several programs for the Polish Radio Szczecin about selected American authors.

RESEARCH FOCUS

Her PhD dissertation, earned at Gdańsk University, dealt with the image of the USA in contemporary Polish non-fiction literature. Her research area covers changing patterns in intercultural communication between Poland and the United States in the 20th century.
